The Autism and Suicide Prevention Workgroup, led by Lisa Morgan, LCSW-CC, have been creating resources for supporting autistic people in crisis. ITI is partnering with Lisa Morgan Consulting LLC to amplify the workgroup’s reach and conduct more community research.
The project currently has two phases:
Phase 1: Autism and Suicide Prevention Conference
In 2026, we are hosting the first Autism and Suicide Prevention Conference in Columbus, Ohio. Experts from the workgroup, representatives from national suicide organizations, researchers, and more will come together for a weekend to share knowledge and workshop the best ways to disseminate resources.
Phase 2: Nonexistence Ideation Research
We also intend to conduct focus groups to study the prevalence and details of nonexistence ideation for autistic people.
