Report documents three years of growth in disability-led research, technology, and advocacy

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Independence Through Interdependence (ITI), an Ohio-based 501(c)(3) organization led by autistic and ADHD adults, has published its first Impact Report covering 2023 through 2025.

The report documents ITI’s growth since Dr. Shannan Palma and Lorien Dana founded the organization in 2022. It details four flagship programs: the Mobility Autonomy Program (MAP) for transportation access, the Positive Outcomes Project (POP) addressing autistic wellbeing and suicide prevention, ITI Circle for I/DD entrepreneurship, and #FlipThePowerDynamic for research advocacy. The report also includes a section on ITI Lab, ITI’s for-profit subsidiary developing AI-powered assistive technology, and the Decide app, which launched in February 2025.

From 2023 through 2025, ITI secured more than $860,000 in committed funding, completed 120+ stakeholder touchpoints for MAP Phase 1, launched two companies, and conducted 930+ research touchpoints through ITI Lab.
